Please Ensure you have at least 5/8" Plywood, not hallow core sandwiched panelin (You will need 2x  4' x 8' x (1/2"-3/4"plywood, and 1x piano hinge installed upside-down no matter the current lid)

1. Remove current mattress and please recycle responsibly via local waste department.
   
   
2. Now is the time to upgrade the Gas Lift Struts! 110# recommended (see products page)
   
   
3. Grab your tape measure and Fine tip Sharpie - From the Foot End Measure back 20" Mark this location, now measure 1.5-2" down mark that location. Your second mark 2ish" down will be the center point of the Strut mount. MUST use all screw holes on mount ensuring the most positive mounting.
   
   
4. Now, on the first mark you made, follow that up and mark on the bottom of the lid "exactly where it would be closed"
   
5. Measure 12" from the mark towards the foot end. Mark this location ensuring its inside the platform wall when closing. This will be where the opposite mount will go on the bottom side of the lid. MUST use all screw holes!
   
   
   
6. We recommend making sure everything functions, however you will most likely not be able to close the lid without the beds on there, simply from the strength of the new struts.  after ensuring the clearance is good, use a skinny flat head screwdriver and remove the strut end on the lid mount and lay strut out of the way inside the storage area. This will allow you to close the lid and get ready for bases.
   
7. Close lid and prepare for the RV Adjustable beds, plug in and route any power strips out of the way. Some coaches have power below some may need a 3'-6" power strip from one of the bed side outlets. Find the center point in-between the tightest dimensions (counter tops or Window valences) mark this location on top of lid.
    
8.  Open Base Box outside of RV, remove the first RV Adjustable bed from box. Carefully, 2 People carry the base still folded in half into bedroom and open base upside down on the platform.  CAREFULLY cut the yellow and orange zip ties freeing the accessory box, as well as humidity pack. 
   
   
9. Open the accessory box and locate the bag with the metal frame pins and c-clips
   place pins in the pin location at the 50% point, this locks the frame and now will only flex at the patent pending hinge towards the head end of the frame. 
   
   
10. Carefully flip the RV Adjustable base over and place in location ensuring the grey deck is not over your centerline mark and be sure to manually raise the head end of the bed (no power needed). this is a quick clearance check to ensure the base clears any headboard or head end obstructions. 
    
    
11.  Grab your Sharpie again, locate the 5" mounting slots. mark the location at the head end of the slot. Again, be sure the head end is free to move past the 1.5" headboard overhang etc.
    
    
12. Slide the RV Adjustable bed over to the opposite side and repeat the previous steps with the 1st RV Adjustable base opened,
    
    
13. Now with assistance remove the RV Adjustable base off the platform and place out of the way, in the living area or bedroom if there is room,
    
    
14. Grab your drill with a 5/8" wood drill bit, drill clean holes at the 4 marks from the slots. 
    
    
15. You will now need to access the bottom of the platform to install provided T-Nuts. (see plastic bag with frame pins)
    If you can't physically access the platform below. 
    Locate and remove the 5-10 screws the factory used to secure the head end of the platform. Pry the lid up and over.
    Now you should have the access needed to hammer in the T-Nuts in the 4X holes you just drilled from the top. 
    
    
16. Replace the headend of the lid and Secure with Construction screws. Adding additional screws on the left, right and head end ledger. At Minium 5 across the head end and at min 3 on the sides.
    
    
17. Now carefully team lift the first RV Adjustable base into its final location, Secure the base to the lid using the provided, Black Knobbed bolts, to the t-nuts thru each slot. 
    
    
18. Carefully remove the second RV Adjustable base from the box. Team lift the base into the bedroom, and place on top of the opposite base. Open the base up and repeat Step #8. 
    
    
19. Once you've assembled the base. Carefully flip the second base into its final position. Again, secure using Knobbed Bolts.   Hand tight is ample. Beds will still slide if need be. 
    
    
20. Install the 2x AAA batteries in each remote and then plug the bases in. Wait 30 seconds before testing any buttons. Please allow time for the remote to make its connection to the base.
    
    
21. For Customers using their existing mattress, or NON Split options, need to Sync the bases together via the provided gray cord. Now both remotes will work both sides together.  
    
22. You can now remove the CoolCopper Memory foam Mattresses from their boxes. 
    Place on to their corresponding bases and open the plastic. The mattress will take a few hours to regain its full shape. If you have plenty of space and a clear clean area out of the way. You may open the mattresses ahead of time. We find it easier to bring into the coach vac rolled.
